An outdated, dark home was in need of efficient home systems to provide the homeowners with an competent, sustainable, and effective way to repurpose this average home into a high performance and comfortable environment.

Thanks to the design vision and engineering of the Barley|Pfeiffer Architecture team, the fine execution and contributions of Oliver Custom Homes, Builder, and the commitment of the homeowners the outcome is a very comfortable, healthy and bright home.

The original floor plan consisted of a series of dark spaces with no real connection to the outside. It was dark and gloomy. The windows and doors leaked both air and water while the exterior walls had signs of deterioration.

Exterior windows and doors were replaced. The dark living room and kitchen finishes were replaced with lighter colors as to tremendously brighten the interior spaces.
