About Barley|Pfeiffer Architecture

Barley|Pfeiffer Architecture is a LEED certified firm that practices high-performance architecture. Rather than simply making sustainable material choices, the firm goes beyond the present green building paradigm to provide sustainable architecture by thought, not simply by checklist.
We prefer a hands-on approach. Prospective clients are asked to attend a meeting to discuss the scope and budget of each project. If the client has acquired land, we make it a point to visit the site to review and discuss the feasibility of the project.
After the scope, land and budget are loosely set in place, the client is given a programming guide in order to help communicate what he expects out of the project. Then in the schematic design phase, the client discusses the expected results thoroughly with the Principals and Project Manager.
With a rough design is agreed upon, builders are interviewed for pricing and the project moves into design development.
